What To Wear : Wedding Guest

This season has been popular on the wedding front. Scrolling through my various social media feeds I see photo after photo wedding inspiration. From pastel dresses to rose gold décor; I love it all! I've been involved myself in wedding planning this year as my dad got married in July, however I'm not certain that my make-shift wedding invitations are Pinterest worthy yet!

There's one thing about weddings we all love to hate. That is what to wear as a wedding guest? You don't want to out do the bride but you want to dress up for the special occasion. Not sure what to pick? Well that's what I'm here for, consider me as your fairy godmother! Just as a general tip a bold, block colour works perfectly at any wedding, whatever the weather. And that little black dress that makes you have curves like Kim K can always be pulled out and updated with bright accessories!

Worry no more, here's a few options perfect for any wedding to fit every budget!

This simplistic combo is perfect to take you from day to night. The muted colours are feminine and chic paired with a navy, floral dress which is a timeless piece. This dress is flattering for every body shape, as it nips you in at the waist but flows out into a beautiful, full skirted, floaty number perfect to dance the night away in!

Maxi dresses are the best option for a beach wedding, as they are less likely to blow up avoiding any Marilyn Monroe moments! The fresh, white wedges could be swapped for glitzy sandals for added comfort. The boho feel of the dress mixed with the colour palette makes it an overall winner.

When choosing accessories try and pick out colours in your dress, this will make that colour pop but look coordinated. I love this periwinkle blue, it's a beautiful colour for a wedding as it's soft. The gold clutch will take you into the night with extra sparkle!

Who said you can't wear black to a wedding? This A-line dress is sophisticated, adding a pop of colour makes more of a statement whilst still being chic. The orange lip is personally one of my favourites, it instantly dresses up any outfit.
